Raleigh Family Session

One of the best things about being a family photographer is the ability to capture those special, intimate moments between loved ones. These moments are often over in the blink of an eye. So to be tasked with the job of freezing moments for all time is a really big deal in my eyes. I knew that this was huge when Katie reached out to me to document this time in their lives. After all, it was the 1st birthday of their first born and your baby only turns 1 once. That’s a huge milestone. So I am honored and humbled to have been trusted to be invited into their lives to document this moment.

I absolutely loved photographing Matt, Katie and Sawyer. The way they are with one another is very refreshing. They were super comfortable with opening themselves up to me and my camera. Several times during our session we fell into chatting about random topics. While this may seem like a small thing, you’d be surprised to learn that it helps to loosen you up when you’re in front of the camera. The icing on the cake was the weather. It was a beautiful, crisp day here in North Carolina. Perfect weather for this Raleigh family session.

We had such a great time during our session! And Sawyer was perfect. She kept us cracking up with her many facial expressions and her blossoming curiosity. I wish her, Katie and Matt a happy and blessed first year, and much more.
