I knew from the moment of our initial client consult that Jessica and Jerrin were an amazing couple and that working with them was going to be really fun. As I shot each frame of their Downtown Raleigh engagement session, I wasn’t disappointed…Jessica and Jerrin were everything that I knew they’d be! Jessica packs a lot of spice and personality in a small package while Jerrin is a tall, fun-loving man who doesn’t take himself too seriously. Together they are a fabulously fun couple with lots of style, personality and love for one another.
Jessica and Jerrin are dynamic and I wanted their engagement session to reflect that. It was a beautiful, sunny day here in Raleigh, so we began shooting at JC Raulston Arboretum in natural light. My couple represented their alma mater and HBCU by rocking North Carolina Central sweatshirts and jeans for a casual look. Jessica and Jerrin made a few wardrobe changes to reflect each mood and scene of their portraits. I also wanted to switch the look up a little, so I added some artificial lighting for a moody and dramatic look. We also changed from our rustic location and headed to downtown Raleigh for a modern and edgy vibe. This is the first engagement session of the season and it is one of my absolute favorites. I hope that it will be one of yours as well!
