Every now and then I like to go through my photography archives and re-edit select images from previous sessions. I do this in order to apply new editing techniques that I’ve learned over the year. I also review images as a way of benchmarking the progress that I’ve made in this journey. If I haven’t grown then there’s a problem. This image is from Leslie and Stephen’s Haywood Hall engagement session, which we shot back in September of 2013. The first image is straight out of camera with no edits. The second image is the original edit from 2013 and the third image is the 2015 edit.

It’s so interesting how time changes everything. I edited this image completely different than I would have a year and a half ago. I’ll more than likely photograph it differently next time I shoot at Haywood Hall as well. I’m looking forward to seeing the progress that another year and a half will bring.
